Born from the brush of English artist Cicely Mary Barker (1895-1973), the first Flower Fairies collection, Flower Fairies of the Spring, was published in 1923.
Her exquisitely detailed and delicate illustrations, created from her own love of gardening and botany, and using local children as models for her paintings, bring to life a new, magical world hidden amongst the garden plants and wildflowers.
