Originally entitled Nature Notes for 1906, this collection of beautiful paintings and musings inspired by the English countryside was not published until 1977, some time after the passing of author Edith Holden. However, it remained on bestseller lists for 64 consecutive weeks, a feat itself noted in the Guiness Book of Records.

Holden's delicate, refined paintings of English flora, birds and butterflies can now also be found adorning numerous domestic products and gift items around the world.
